Event Creation and Evolution

How To - Industry

Starting up a Bandzit profile couldn’t be simpler, but just to make sure you don’t miss out on any of the features at your fingertips, here’s a few tips and hints.

When building your profile, its best to be as complete as possible. Not all details will be visible, but as we create events it will always be best to start out with the most complete and accurate details. And don’t forget an awesome picture!

The top menu bar will stay with you as you navigate the site. In Your Account, you can create and edit Venue or Event pages, list in the Hot Jobs classifieds, or see your order history if your buy tickets for events. The Payments / Billing, and Accept Payments are essential for event owners, and we will cover this process in more detail.

The Welcome “username” tab will take you to your profile page, displaying all the info you gave us. Scrolling down you’ll find your own Wall, that you will no doubt be familiar with from social networks. You can post directly here, add links, or share links to profiles and events using the Bandzit button. Any gigs you are attending will be listed in the middle tab, so check out what your friends are up to and spread the word. There’s also an enquiry form, and that’s for anyone that wants to get in touch with you, simple!

My Feed will also be familiar from other Social Media platforms, and once you start following Musicians, Venues and Agencies and of course other Music Fans, the updates they share will appear here for your interaction.

Bandzit has an intuitive social interaction monitor that can actually promote your music. We have taken the activity of social media and created a target marketing system. It’s all driven about users interactions with your content, so sharing and updating your posts is key. This will target users who actively like your music with events you are playing. Bandzit is the only community where you get this for free!

The Home page is self-explanatory, where you can search for Events, Musicians, or Venues and Agents. You can be as specific as you want with your search criteria, but at least give us a Postcode as a point of reference. This will take you to the interactive map, showing the Bandzit HIts that fall within your search criteria on the map and in list format. You can use the multi enquiry tool to hit people up, or click individual profiles and events. As an example, if an agency wants to fill support slots for a UK tour, choose the genres, and you can email all potential bands your details and conditions. Done!

You will also find the top-rated people on the home page, in the Hot Artists and Hot Events Sections. Get liking to tell us who is really on the up, and we can spread the word!

Hot Jobs will appear in your menu bar. This is the Bandzit classifieds section. Here you can post jobs of any nature, from “new bass player wanted”, to “last minute support slot needing filled”, or “bands needed for UK tour”. You name it, you can fill it here. Again, be as specific as possible, and despite the nature of the job, a date range will always be required. This can correspond to the date of an actual gig, or the length of time you want a longer advert to run. This will keep Hot Jobs as current and relevant as it should be.
